Standing Rib Roast Tutorial

Prime Rib Step by Step
  •  ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons ground mustard
  • 8-10 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Heaping Tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 Heaping Tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary
  • 2 Tablespoons Steak Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon coarse ground pepper
  • Cooking Twine 
  1. Combine ingredients
  2. Preheat oven to 500 degrees and roast prime rib for 15 minutes.  
  3. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue cooking for 10-12 minutes per pound. 
  4. Tent with foil if the prime rib browns too quickly. 
  5. Remove roast from oven 5-10 degrees below your desired internal temperature, loosely tent with foil and allow to rest for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Remove bones with a sharp knife, slice thin & serve!
