Ingredients
- 2 lbs. beef tenderloin tips
- 8 pineapple chunks
- 8 square pieces of red bell pepper
- 8 square pieces of red onion
- Huli Huli marinade (marinade below)
- toasted sesame seeds
- 4 kebab skewers
Huli Huli Marinade
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Combine above ingredients and reserve 3/4 cup of marinade for basting.
Instructions
- Marinate beef tips for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Meanwhile, skewer the kebabs. Start with pineapple, red pepper, onion then 4 tenderloin tips, onion, red pepper and pineapple.
- Grill for 8-15 minutes or until you reach your desired internal temp. Baste with reserved marinade with every turn. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
