Huli Huli Beef Kebabs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef tenderloin tips
  • 8 pineapple chunks
  • 8 square pieces of red bell pepper
  • 8  square pieces of red onion 
  • Huli Huli marinade (marinade below)
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • 4 kebab skewers

Huli Huli Marinade

  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Combine above ingredients and reserve 3/4 cup of marinade for basting.

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef tips for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Meanwhile, skewer the kebabs. Start with pineapple, red pepper, onion then 4 tenderloin tips, onion, red pepper and pineapple.
  3. Grill for 8-15 minutes or until you reach your desired internal temp.  Baste with reserved marinade with every turn. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
