Pepperoncini Smash Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Fairway Smash Burgers
  • 6 slices of pepper jack
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • sliced pepperoncini
  • 3 brioche burger buns
  • Fairway Steak Salt

Pepperoncini Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon minced pepperoncini's
  • 2 teaspoons pepperoncini brine
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Dash cayenne
  • Steak Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat griddle to medium high to high heat.   
  2. Season smash burger patties with Steak Salt.  Place patties on the preheated griddle.  Top patties with onions & sliced pepperoncini.
  3. Using a burger press or a stiff spatula give the patties a press. To prevent sticking use parchment paper before smashing.  Once the burger is smashed wait a few seconds before flipping.
  4. Next top with pepper jack cheese.  Once melted, double stack and place on burger bun.  Top with burger sauce and serve hot.
