The Fairway Patty Melt

  • 1 pkg.- 1/2 LB 2 pc Baratta Burger 
  • 4 Slices thick cut bread of choice
  • 1 Sweet onion, halved & thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 Sliced gouda cheese
  • 4 tsp. Liv Garlic Peppercorn Béarnaise Sauce
  • Thousand Island Dressing 
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • Steak Salt
  • Duck Fat Spray, or cooking spray

1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until soft and translucent, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer onions into a bowl and set aside.

2. Season burger patties with Steak Salt. Grill or cook patties in a skillet and cook until desired doneness, 3 to 5 minutes per side.

3. Spray Duck Fat or Cooking spray on one side of each slice of bread.  Flip bread over and spread 1 teaspoon of Bearnaise sauce on each slice. Next, top each with a slice of cheese. Top with a burger patty, onions, and a drizzle of thousand island dressing and finish assembling the sandwich. 

4. Place sandwich in a lightly oiled skillet preheated over medium heat. Cook until the bread golden brown and cheese has started to melt, 3 to 4 minutes. Flip each sandwich over and cook an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
